Preventing Aging Skin Starts Before You Turn 30

Most people start worrying about preventing aging skin after they start seeing the most common signs of aging skin. That is often too late, since the appearance of these signs on the surface of the skin is a late indication that the aging process has begun some time before and some damage has already been done deep in the pores.

While it is never too late to start preventing aging skin, those how are young enough that they have not yet started to see the outward signs are the ones in the best position to truly prevent the signs of aging from developing in the first place.

Common Signs of Aging Skin

The most common signs that your skin is aging include wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, mouth, and on the temples, as well as sun spots and other marks that start to appear in random areas of the skin. Some people will also start to notice their skin losing that firm texture or sagging in certain areas.

While these signs are well known in today’s world, most people still fail to realize they are appearing until someone else makes a comment or the lines and wrinkles are so deep they can no longer be ignored. Those how happen to be hyper alert to changes in their skin may notice when the signs of aging skin are still faint, giving them an advantage when it comes to preventing aging skin and undoing that damage.

Tips on Preventing Aging Skin

The best way to prevent the wrinkles and spots that come with age is to treat your entire body as good as possible. This means eating a wide variety of healthy foods and saving the greasy, sugary foods for special occasions, as well as exercising and keeping your sweat and oil glands under the skin operating properly and your entire body in top shape.

Then, you need a high quality facial cream that delivers nourishing ingredients that help replenish the most important proteins and nutrients in your skin cells. It happens to be the depletion of collagen, elastin, and other natural components of the skin that cause the most common signs of aging in the face.

Thankfully, many products on the market now have special ingredients which help the body start producing increased amounts of these natural skin proteins. Using these products on a consistent basis every single day as well as feeding your entire body for optimal performance is the best strategy for preventing aging skin.

Defeat Oily Skin For Good

Have you ever had trouble finding just the right skincare for your skin oil type?  Good news!  I can help you by sharing one prime piece of information.

You don’t need separate solutions for dry, combination, or oily skin care.  The only reason common cosmetic companies separate dry and oily skincare products is because they are not using correct ingredients in the first place.  For example, one ingredient can be moisturizing your skin while another is drying it.

The Problem With Common Products for Oily Skin

Your sebum (your skin’s natural oils) protects against dryness, cracking, and premature aging.  If you use products for oily skin, it could deplete your natural sebum, thus leading to damage.

Oily skin care can quickly strip too much sebum causing excessive dryness, irritation, blemishes, scarring, and other types of damage.  Those strong cleansers can lead to flaking, cracking, and redness; or, exfoliation increase redness and sensitivity to sunlight.

But, if you’re here, then you probably have oily skin.  So, here’s what you can do.

Use Natural Products To Fix The Problem.

For Cleansing
The best products for reducing oily skin contain orange peel extract.  It effectively reduces oil, but is non-irritating to most people.  If orange peel extract is too strong, definitely try tea tree oil.  It’s mild, yet also effective.

After Cleansing
You need solutions that prevent dirt and grime from entering your pores and causing pimples.  Solutions that contain grape seed extract work well because it dries on like a light film.  Your skin then prevents grime from getting in, but does not develop clogged pores.

Antioxidants
Your oily skincare products should help prevent the normal signs of aging by including natural antioxidants.  Antioxidants prevent free radical damage that leads to wrinkling, scarring, and age spots.

If you have frequent pimples or blemishes, antioxidants will promote healing and prevent scarring.  Look for coenzyme Q10, natural vitamin E, honey enzymes, and kelp extracts.

Balance And Maintain Your Sebum For Good

There are some natural oily skincare products that help balance your sebum production.  They will include jojoba and passion fruit extract.  Those extracts can be found in some of the better creams on the market.

Other oily skincare products to look for include masks that contain clay extracts.  Although not intended for regular use, once or twice a month, a clay based mask will help absorb excessive oils and keep pores free of dirt and grime.

In some cases, oily skin care might need to include dietary changes.  Sebum is composed primarily of fat.  Reducing fat in your diet will reduce the amount of sebum your glands secrete.

These ingredients will balance and maintain healthy sebum production.

Chemical vs. Natural

No matter your skin type, safe and natural skin care products are the way to go.  You must remember manufacturers are not always forthcoming about hazardous ingredients their products contain.

Number 1 Tip

Avoid the use of any oily skin care solution that has a warning label.  Those labels are a red flag and indicate ingredients in the bottle are known to cause irritation, redness, and allergies.

Or, here’s one to think about.  Hazardous ingredients can even cause other health problems not related to your skin.  Protect your overall health and look better for life.
